The Association of Digital Forensics Security and Law (ADFSL)

The Association of Digital Forensics, Security and Law (ADFSL) is an organization focusing on the academics and research of digital forensics, security and law. Glenn Dardick is the founder and director of the ADFSLThe ADFSL supports the Journal of Digital Forensics, Security and Law, the Conference on Digital Forensics, Security and Law, and a list server in support of the journal, the conference and other issues relating to digital forensics, security and law. The ADFSL also supports other organizations, conferences and journals. Cooperation and communications between the ADFSL and others regarding timing, promotion, and venue to maximize the effectiveness of events and other offerings is coordinated by Glenn Dardick.

The offices of the Association of Digital Forensics, Security and Law are located in Virginia, USA.

The Journal of Digital Forensics Security and Law (JDFSL)

The JDFSL is published quarterly. Glenn Dardick created the JDFSL when he founded the ADFSL in 2006.

This peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary Journal of Digital Forensics, Security and Law (JDFSL) focuses on the advancement of the field by publishing the state of the art in both basic and applied research conducted worldwide. We purposefully chose to use the word cyber in our tagline, instead of digital to emphasize the cyber culture surrounding computing, and the word cyber also extends itself beyond the technical domain of computing.

The Journal’s main aims are to open up the landscape for innovation and discussion, and to continuously bridge the gap between the science and practice of cyber forensics, security and law. This journal encourages both scientists and practitioners to share their discoveries and experiences.

The annual ADFSL Conference on Digital Forensics, Security and Law

The  ADFSL Conference on Digital Forensics, Security and Law is a unique and innovative event.  It is managed by the Association of Digital Forensics, Security and Law (ADFSL).

The conference was created on the premise that digital forensics goes beyond digital evidence. The mission of the conference is to significantly expand the domain of digital forensics research to a wide and eclectic audience of academics, consultants and executives who are involved in the curriculum, research and use of digital forensics.

The conference provides an avenue for the presentation and discussion of original research and curriculum about digital forensics and its relationship to security and law.  Contributions are particularly welcome which analyze the results of interdisciplinary research and relate to the intersection of theory, method and empirical findings.  Of interest will be manuscripts, which present the theoretical concepts of the development, organization, and dissemination of digital forensics concepts.  Further, conference proceedings will be made available to include the results of research and case studies that advance the practice and understanding of digital forensics methods and techniques to support efficient and effective investigations.
